Woman owner of electronic repair depot

As CEO of Delta Automation, Inc., a repair, sales and service center for industrial electronic equipment, I find it quite interesting and challenging everyday. Delta Automation's main focus is on PLC's, drives, motors and HMI's. We perform service on Modicon/Square D/Schneider Automation and Allen Bradley PLC's. We are factory certified on ABB, Baldor, I2T, Magnetek, WEG and Yaskawa drive systems. Also, we represent Autem Software, a product that provides configurable histograms. We broker in hard to find or obsolete industrial electronic equipment.

In addition, we are distributors for WEG drives, motors and associated instrument products. WEG is one of the world's largest motor manufacturers. WEG is located in Brazil, which is where the product is manufactured. All pieces and parts for WEG products are made in that location. I am told that they even have a cattle ranch which is used for producing the meat products used in the employee cafeteria!

Delta Automation, Inc. has performed work for all types of facilities including, pharmaceutical companies, railroads, oil manufacturing and refining plants, power generation plants (including nuclear, coal and gas powered), schools, hospitals, banking facilities, prison systems, tobacco manufacturing facilities to just name a few. Basically, anywhere there is any type of controlling of system needs to use either PLC's, drives and/or motors. Typical examples of these are conveyor belt lines, HVAC units/systems, assembly lines, robotics, etc.

Most recently we became involved in another arena of automation, which is power generation/conversion. It is a product called GridPoint. This is an appliance, which intelligently manages renewable energy and provides instant backup power. It seamlessly combines power electronics and high capacity battery storage.

This new product line will allow Delta Automation, Inc. to jointly provide services to the industrial arena as well as the personal home arena. With the sky rocketing cost of energy and the continued deregulation of electric companies, what a better way and time to begin marketing this product!

An interesting fact about Delta Automation, Inc. is we are SWAM certified by the Commonwealth of Virginia and also EVA registered. In addition, we are certified by the Women's Business Enterprise.
